| AUDITION INFO FOR OUR PERFORMANCE ENSEMBLES! |

Our audition process is a fun,
non-threatening one. The goal is to make sure that the children invited
to participate have the skills necessary for individual & group success.
We want it to be a fun & positive experience for everyone!
SHOWKIDZ
K-2nd Thursday, August 27th OR Thursday, September 3rd 4-5pm
Parents should stop by with their auditioning child, anytime between
4-5pm on one of these Thursdays for a non-threatening, one-on-one "meet
and greet"/Vocal check. Students need to show good etiquette (manners)
and the ability to simply echo sing in the range of singing that the
group performs. The goal is to put together a group of positive, kind,
hard-working youngsters who show a real interest in the performing arts.
3rd-5th Thursday, August 27th OR Thursday, September 3rd 5:30-6:45pm
Parents will need to drop their auditioning child off at 5pm on the
night of their child's audition. Those auditioning do not need to come
with anything prepared. Just come dressed in comfortable clothes to move
in, sneakers, and be ready to have lots of fun as I lead the group
through a little singing, acting, and dancing!
THE COMPANY
3rd-8th Monday, August 31st 5-6:30pm
Parents will need to drop their auditioning child off at 5pm that night.
Those auditioning will be asked to perform a monolog. It may be
something that they have already prepared or they may select one from a
variety of sources that I will have available that night. Students will
also be asked to do a little bit of improvisation and cold scene
readings as part of their audition.
Everyone will be e-mailed the results and our first rehearsals will take
place the following week! |
